Alaska 2008, July 26 to Dawson Creek (1000 km)

Hey peeps, As above off to Alaska (AK) by motorcycle. Expected distance to Fairbanks and back around 8000 km and about 3 weeks including 2 weeks in Fairbanks.

Let's get started!

Banff to Jasper, Hwy 93. Good, but crowded. Curves (C) = 4, Road condition (R) = 9, Traffic level (T) = 4, Views (V) = 9. Glaciers, lakes and mountains.

Jasper through Grande Cache to Grande Prairie. Very good. sweeping curves and good road. C=7, R=7, T=2 (after Hinton), V=6. Look at the size of that Elk!!!

Rode 1000 km to Dawson Creek and stayed at Sunset B and B ($55 / night, German hosts). Great bed with extra crispy bacon.
