August 2023 - Bicycle Ride, New Bike, Bingo, Boat Refurbishment and Family Reunions

In this month it was full on summer with all the activities that come with it. Bike rides to drinks, new motorcycle, bingo with Bonny, family reunions and more.

I just never get tired of sailing the summer sunsets.

Oops...I did it again. Just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in. It was time to buy a Honda (Africa Twin) after all these years. A bike in Mexico and 2 in Canada...I need more Brad's to ride them!

A few days trying to clean up the bottom of my friend Thomas' boat hoping to get it ready and to the West coast some day. Not much more fun than belt sanding upwards on the boat of a massive sailboat. Didn't even finish in August.

Side Story: I rode my bike about 14 km to get to volley ball up through the city centre and decided to take a more direct way back. I can't remember the last time I felt lost in the city I was born in then I did this night when the bike path kept going East with out catching the bridge exits to get going West. 20km and complete darkness I finally got back home.

At the end of the month it was sadly the last Thursday night hockey which meant bbq and a few bevies.

July 2023 - Thursday Golf, Stampede, Whiskyroni, Pinball, Trivia and Lake Newell Sailing

In this month, which is one of the best times to be in Calgary, I reclaimed my basement and garage, got back to golf with the Thursday group, took in another Stampede, played Wednesday night pinball and hoped on a 19 foot catamaran at Lake Newell. And of course all the other random stuff that comes in the summer in Canada.

After allowing a friend to stay in my place while I was gone it was time to do a little tidy up and repairs. Good to help someone out who needed a place, and a great chance to make some updates and repairs on things that a less delicate person helps to point out need attention by using the crap out of them, hahaha!

Then there was the washing machine which looked like it had done enough laundry for 5 families in the months A was staying at my place. Well no surprise the motor burnt out. Thanks A!

Off to Canmore to pick up a used unit the same
as the one that's motor died. Smart thinking
to have extra parts.

In good shape from a guy who helped me load.
He had picked up a stacking system for free
so $50 for this one was easy. The motor I needed
for the other was $200 for just the part.

Tested and good.

Brewsters Ranch Kananaskis Golf Course for my first time back with the Thursday group looking forward to a bunch of rounds this summer. It was a good day with Phil and Tom as my cart buddies.

Later in the month we shot a round at Tooth of the Dogpound another good course outside of Calgary. Good day with Roger, Martin, Phil and the rest of the of the boys. Won my first skin too!

Stampede 2023, lots of business development for ADIT and general fun to be had this year. It just all flowed well this round. Special thank yous to Bothar, Comco, The Crossing Group and Acero for having fantastic parties/ gathers!

Side story: Running with Holly and some others the first Friday we simply skipped in to the VIP entrance to get in to Wildhorse. Good to see party crashing alive and well in 2023.

At the end of the month it was off to Lake Newell, one of the largest man made lakes in Canada, thanks to an invite from Thomas to sail near Brooks Alberta on his 19 foot catamaran, FAST!
